Nucleariid adalah kelompok amoeba[1] dengan pseudopodia filosa, diketahui sebagian besar dari tanah dan air tawar. Mereka dibedakan dari vampyrellid yang tampak mirip terutama dengan memiliki mitokondria dengan krista discoid.
Klasifikasi
Studi molekuler menunjukkan bahwa nukleariid memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan fungi.[2][3] dan lebih jauh terkait dengan garis keturunan yang memunculkan choanoflagellata dan metazoa opisthokonts,[4] kelompok yang mencakup hewan, jamur. Beberapa menggunakan definisi luas dari Opisthokonta untuk memasukkan semua organisme ini dengan krista mitokondria yang pipih.
Genera Rabdiophrys, Pinaciophora, dan Pompholyxophrys, bentuk air tawar dengan sisik atau duri silika berongga, dimasukkan dalam Nucleariida oleh beberapa pihak.[5][6] Hal ini diperdebatkan oleh Smith dan Chao yang menempatkan mereka dalam Rhizaria.[7] Keterkaitan mereka dengan nukleariid telah dikonfirmasi.[8] Secara historis, nukleariid dimasukkan ke dalam heliozoa sebagai Rotosphaerida karena mereka dan heliozoa memiliki tubuh bulat dan pseudopodia yang memancar.
Menurut sebuah makalah tahun 2009, Fonticula, sebuah jamur lendir seluler, adalah opisthokont dan lebih dekat hubungannya dengan Nuclearia daripada dengan fungi.[9]
Karakteristik
Nucleariid umumnya kecil, ukurannya sampai dengan 50 μm.
- Nuclearia[10] dan Micronuclearia.
- Genera lain, Rabdiophrys, Pinaciophora, dan Pompholyxophrys, adalah bentuk air tawar dengan sisik atau duri silika berongga. Mereka sebelumnya termasuk dalam heliozoa sebagai Rotosphaerida.
Berdasarkan makalah tahun 2009, Fonticula, sebuah jamur lendir seluler, adalah opisthokonta dan lebih berkerabat dekat dengan Nuclearia daripada dengan fungi.[11]
