Jalur kereta api kecepatan tinggi Ankara–Istanbul (bahasa Turki: Ankara–İstanbul yüksek hızlı demiryolu), adalah sebuah jalur kereta api kecepatan tinggi sepanjang 533 km (331 mi) yang sekarang berjalan di antara Ankara dan Pendik (sebuah subperkotaan dari Istanbul), dengan bagian Pendik-İstanbul Tengah yang sedang dalam tahap pembangunan.

Sejarah

Pembangunan rute tersebut dilakukan dalam dua fase. Fase pertama adalah rute sepanjang 251 kilometer (156 mi) berbiaya $747 juta antara Sincan (sebuah distrik dari Ankara) dan İnönü, yang pembangunannya dimulai pada 2003 di sebuah segmen antara Esenkent dan Eskisehir; segmen tersebut diselesaikan pada 2007.^[1] Layanan reguler antara Ankara dan Eskisehir dimulai pada 13 Maret 2009.^[2] Dua jalur yang lebih pendek diselesaikan pada fase pertama: sebuah jalur antara Eskisehir dan Inonu mulai dibangun pada 2008 dan diselesaikan pada 2010, dan sebuah jalur antara Sincan dan Esenkent dibangun pada2008.^[1]

Fase kedua, antara İnönü dan Pendik, dengan panjang sekitar 214 kilometer (133 mi), dan berbiaya sejumlah $2.27 miliar.^[1] Biaya fase kedua lebih tinggi karena kebutuhannya lebih banyak ketimbang fase pertama, yakni 33 jembatan dan 39 terowongan.

Bagian antara Inonu dan Pendik (sebuah subperkotaan di sisi Asia dari Istanbul) dibuka oleh perdana menteri pada 25 Juli 2014, dengan layanan antara Istanbul (Pendik) dan Ankara yang menghabiskan waktu selama 3.5 jam. Layanan tersebut dimulai dengan keberangkatan harian di kedua direksi tersebut.^[3] Jalur tersebut akan berlanjut sampai tengah Istanbul ketika proyek Marmaray selesai pada 2015.^[4] Sampai jalur kecepatan tinggi selesai secara menyeluruh, kereta kecepatan tinggi akan menggunakan jalur konvensional di beberapa bagian dari rute tersebut (antara Sapanca dan Alifuatpaşa, . Jalur tersebut direncanakan akan selesai secara menyeluruh pada 2016, dan biaya yang dihabiskan akan mencapai 8.8 miliar TL.^[5]

Pembangunannya sebagian dibiayai melalui sumber-sumber asing, termasuk €1.25 miliar dari Bank Investasi Eropa dan €120 juta dari Uni Eropa.^[6]

Perusahaan Pembangunan Jalur Kereta Api China dan Perusahaan Impor dan Ekspor Mesin Nasional China memenangkan penawaran pada 2005 untuk membangun jalur kereta api dalam kemitraan dengan dua perusahaan Turki, Cengiz Construction dan Ibrahim Cecen Ictas Construction. Proyek tersebut sebagian dibiayai dengan jumlah $750 juta loan yang diberikan kepada Turki oleh China.

Infrastruktur

Turki memerintahkan sepuluh kereta enam gerbong TCDD HT65000 dari CAF, yang mula-mula didatangkan ke Turki pada 2007.^[1]^[7]
