Samuel Finer

Samuel Edward Finer FBA (22 September 1915 – 9 Juni 1993) adalah seorang ilmuwan politik dan sejarawan Inggris yang mengkhususkan diri dalam politik komparatif, yang berperan penting dalam memajukan studi politik sebagai subjek akademis di Britania Raya, memelopori studi lembaga politik Inggris. Karyanya yang paling terkenal adalah The History of Government from the Earliest Times – sebuah analisis komparatif tiga volume dari semua sistem pemerintahan yang signifikan. Ia juga merupakan kontributor utama untuk studi hubungan sipil-militer dengan penerbitan bukunya, The Man on Horseback.^[1]
