The Longest Day adalah sebuah film perang epik tahun 1962 yang berdasarkan pada buku tahun 1959 buatan Cornelius Ryan yang berjudul The Longest Day (1959)[3] tentang pendaratan D-Day di Normandy pada 6 Juni 1944, pada Perang Dunia II. Film tersebut diproduksi oleh Darryl F. Zanuck, yang membayar Ryan sejumlah $175.000 untuk hak film tersebut.[4]
